How to ask Marlee a question about my team

Learn how to ask questions about your team, understand team dynamics, and improve collaboration.

In this guide, you'll learn how to ask Marlee a question about your team.

Before we start, you'll need to invite your team to connect with you in Marlee and set up a workspace for your team.

For this example, we'll use the Growth Team, which is already set up in the Marlee app.

Let's get started

First, visit the Marlee website at GetMarlee.com.

Step #1: Go to Marlee and click on "Log in."
Step #2: Click in the search field.

If you're forming a new team, type a question about the cultural fit of your new team member into the search field.

Step #3: Type into the search field, "Is @Jon a good cultural fit for the @Growth Team? Click on Jon's name from the drop-down list as you start typing.
Step #4: Click on "Growth Team Workspace" when it appears in the drop-down list as you type your team name.
Step #5: Click on "Generate."

Marlee will share insights on team similarities and differences based on motivations. The similarities are listed at the top, and how team members complement each other appears below.

Step #6: Read insights from Marlee on team similarities.
Step #7: Scroll down to read insights from Marlee on team differences.

Another way to ask questions is to click on the search field at the top of the page. Below the search field, a list of sample prompts or queries will appear.

Step #8: Click on "Ask about yourself and your team."
Step #9: Click on any example prompts or queries in the drop-down list to ask Marlee a question about your team.

You could also ask Marlee to predict where team conflict may arise.

Step #10: Click on "Ask about yourself and your team."

Type into the search field: "What are the potential areas of conflict within the growth team?"

Step #11: Click on "Growth Team Workspace."
Step #12: Click on "Generate."
Step #13: Marlee reviews team motivations and offers insights on potential conflict areas.
Step #14: Marlee provides insights into how team members approach change differently.
Step #15: Marlee also outlines their various decision-making styles.

In the search field at the top, you can also ask Marlee a question about yourself, in relation to your team.

Step #16: Type "What do I bring to the growth team?" Click on "Growth Team Workspace" when it appears in the drop-down list.
Step #17: Click on "Generate."
Step #18: Marlee offers insights on team alignment.
Step #19: Marlee shares insights on how the team complements each other.
Step #20: Marlee also provides insights on potential friction points within your team.
Step #21: Team "Friction Sources" are highlighted further down.

Once you gain a deeper understanding of each team member's unique work style, you can adapt your working and communication methods to harmonize team collaboration and build deeper team connections.
